April 16, 2025“A person of big ideas and an even bigger humanistic imagination," Obeyesekere joined Princeton’s faculty in 1980 and transferred to emeritus status in 2000. He chaired the anthropology department from 1983 to 1988.
- Six Princeton faculty members and arts fellows, 9 alumni receive Guggenheim Fellowships
April 15, 2025This year’s faculty and arts fellow recipients are Maria Chudnovsky, Thomas Conlan, yuniya edi kwon, Rhodri Lewis, Carolyn Rouse, and Peter S. Shin. Five graduate and four undergraduate alumni received Guggenheims.
