This course covers geometric questions in analysis, ranging from fixed points to nonlinear extension, selection and factorization, as well as Hilbert's fifth problem in infinite dimensions and more. Applications to other areas, such as combinatorics, probability, and algorithms, are derived, and powerful mathematical tools are developed as needed. No background is assumed beyond rudimentary functional analysis and metric geometry.
