This course develops the foundations of moduli spaces of pseudo-holomorphic curves, with a particular focus on the construction of virtual fundamental cycles. Along the way, we will discuss general mathematical tools applicable not just to symplectic geometry and gauge theory. Towards the end of the course, we will shift towards applications.
