We discuss some recent developments in arithmetic statistics. Topics include questions relating to the number of rational points and integral points on curves, sizes of Selmer groups and Tate-Shafarevich groups, density of squarefree discriminants, local and global densities of objects of arithmetic interest, and conditions under which one can pass from local to global.
